American Hardwood Export Council
AHEC is the leading international trade association for the US hardwood industry, representing the committed exporters among US hardwood companies and all the major US hardwood product trade associations. AHEC can provide the hardwood trade - importers, specifiers, users - with promotional assistance, technical publications, and sources of supply for US hardwoods.

APA - The Engineered Wood Association
This trade association covers the use of engineered wood, specifically plywood, in the building trade throughout Europe. The site contains legislative information, case studies, literature lists and a plywood specification writer for architects, to name a few benefits
British Wood Preserving & Damp-Proofing Association
The British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association has acted as a focus for companies in the wood preservation industry since its formation in 1930. BWPDA publishes annually a specifications manual for timber pre-treatment, which indudes product approvals. The Manual enables specifiers and treaters to keep up to date with the fast-moving preservation industry, reflecting changes in national and EU legislation and standards. Codes of Practice covering work practice, training and health, safety and environmental protection are all available from the BWPDA
British Woodworking Federation
The BWF, the voice of the woodworking industry, represents manufacturers of doors, windows, conservatories, staircases, architectural joinery, timber framed buildings and engineered timber components.
It provides a complete range of services to its Members including expert advice on technical, employment, health and safety, tax issues etc. The BWF also represents and provides a link with Suppliers to the Industry.

Canada Wood UK
Canada Wood UK is a co-operation between the Canadian Plywood Association, Canadian Lumbermens Association, Council of Forest Industries, Maritime Lumber Bureau, NLGA, Ontario Lumber Manufacturers Association, Quebec Lumber Manufacturers Association and Quebec Wood Export Bureau for representation in all aspects of common interest and provision of technical support for users of member company production.

The Council of Forest Industries
“The Council of Forest Industries is the voice of the
BC interior forest industry".
COFI companies operate 120 production facilities in more that 60 forest dependant communities in the interior of British Columbia. COFI member company operations accounted for approximately 80 percent of all BC softwood lumber shipments and 35 percent of Canadian softwood lumber shipment in 2002.

COFI members employ approximately 50,000 people directly. About 150,000 families directly and indirectly depend on COFI member companies for their livelihood and well-being.

Forests Forever
Forests Forever is an initiative of The Timber Trade Federation and was established in 1990 as a non profit-making voluntarily funded body to represent the views of all timber and wood using industries in the UK on environmental issues. Forests Forever's aim is to help safeguard the forests of the world and Britain's future timber supplies, in addition to promoting wood as an environmentally friendly material. As an industry wide campaign, Forests Forever is supported by major companies in the timber and woodworking industries.

The UKFPA represents the technical and commercial interests of the British grown timber industry. UKFPA members include companies engaged in forest management, harvesting, sawmilling, merchanting, processing of sawmill co-products and manufacturing fencing, pallets, packaging, panel products and paper products, all derived from British

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international organization with a respected system and a recognized product label to promote responsible management of the world’s forests.

Glue Laminated Timber Association
The Glued Laminated Timber Association represents the leading manufacturers and distributors of glulam in the UK. It aims to promote the awareness of glued laminated timber and its properties among specifiers and users of building materials. Members of the Association provide a comprehensive design, supply and erection service together with associated materials.

The Nordic Timber Council
What is the Nordic Timber Council
The Nordic Timber Council is the joint promotion organisation of the wood and wood products industries in Finland, Norway and Sweden.

The STTA is the organisation which represents timber importers, sawmillers, timber merchants, timber agents, builders merchants and others who supply timber and wood products within Scotland. We are the Scottish arm of the Timber Trade Federation of the United Kingdom

TRADA
TRADA - the Timber Research and Development Association - is an internationally recognised centre of excellence on the specification and use of timber and wood products. TRADA provides a broad range of research, training and information services as well as providing bespoke consultancy for individual customers.

Timber Packaging and Pallet Confederation
Timcon (Timber Packaging and Pallet Confederation) is the UK National Trade Association representing the interests of the timber packaging industry – principally manufacturers of timber pallets, packing cases/crates and export packers.

The Timber Trades Benevolent Society
Our Aims are to help those in reduced circumstances who have been employed in the UK by a qualifying business for at least 10 years. Qualifying businesses include timber merchants, timber importers, timber exporters and agents.

We welcome referrals from individuals, other charities, as well as from existing beneficiaries.

Timber Decking Association
The Timber Decking Association (TDA) exists to provide help and advice about well designed high performance timber decking and to promote excellence in quality of materials and workmanship through a quality assurance scheme called "Deck Mark". Formed in January 1999, the TDA is made up of organisations covering the entire supply chain from forest resource to installer.


Timber Trade Federation

The Timber Trade Federation is the leading trade body representing the UK timber industry. The Federation provides its members with a variety of services from legal advice to statistics. It also represents the industry to Government, Parliament, the devolved bodies, local government and the European Union

Trussed Rafter Association
The Trussed Rafter Association (TRA) is the voice of the timber trussed rafter industry. Externally it forges links with the public and private sectors to promote the industry's interests and liaises with research and regulatory bodies concerning product specifications and health and safety and environmental matters. Within the industry, the TRA pools resources, develops professionalism and ensures it members are at the forefront of future opportunity and innovation.

The Malaysian Timber Council
“The Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) was established in January 1992 to promote the development of the timber-based industry in Malaysia and the marketing of timber products.

The PEFC Council (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, founded in 1999 which promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests.

Wood Panel Industries Federation

WPIF represents manufacturers of Wood Particleboard, Oriented Strand Board, Fibreboards, Cement Bonded Particleboards in the UK and and Ireland, and leading resin and chemical suppliers. Responding to a technical and environmental remit, the Federation anticipates and identifies the influences and pressure points to which sectoral responses are appropriate, and also develops strategies which are adaptable to the changing demands of legislation, public opinion and customers
