safety, tax issues etc. The BWF also represents and provides a link
with Suppliers to the Industry.
Canada Wood UK
Canada Wood UK is a co-operation between the Canadian Plywood Association,
Canadian Lumbermens Association, Council of Forest Industries, Maritime
Lumber Bureau, NLGA, Ontario Lumber Manufacturers Association, Quebec
Lumber Manufacturers Association and Quebec Wood Export Bureau for representation
in all aspects of common interest and provision of technical support for
users of member company production.

COFI companies operate 120 production facilities in more that 60 forest
dependant communities in the interior of British Columbia. COFI member
company operations accounted for approximately 80 percent of all BC softwood
lumber shipments and 35 percent of Canadian softwood lumber shipment in
2002.
COFI members employ approximately
50,000 people directly. About 150,000 families directly and indirectly
depend on COFI member companies for their livelihood and well-being.

Forests Forever is an initiative of The Timber Trade Federation and was
established in 1990 as a non profit-making voluntarily funded body to
represent the views of all timber and wood using industries in the UK
on environmental issues. Forests Forever's aim is to help safeguard the

to promoting wood as an environmentally friendly material. As an industry

The Glued Laminated Timber Association represents the leading manufacturers

employed in the UK by a qualifying business for at least 10 years. Qualifying

The Timber Decking Association (TDA) exists to
provide help and advice about well designed high performance timber decking
and to promote excellence in quality of materials and workmanship through
a quality assurance scheme called "Deck Mark". Formed in January 1999,
the TDA is made up of organisations covering the entire supply chain from
forest resource to installer.

The Trussed Rafter Association (TRA) is the voice of the timber trussed
